We received this lovely message and song from our friends at Nidarosdomens Guttekor filmed in their majestic home, Nidaros Cathedral. It brought back wonderful memories of our Asian tours and charity concerts in Norway. Thank you and we look forward to more collaborations!
The song is Norway’s most beloved Christmas hymn “Deilig er jorden”. It’s melody is originally a German hymn “Schönster Herr Jesu”, dating back to 1677. In Norway, it is tradition to sing this song at the end of Christmas concerts, and, of course, at the end of the Christmas eve services.
On 24 December 2020, the Norwegian television will broadcasted live from the Nidaros Cathedral and this song was sung by all Norwegians lead by Nidarosdomens Guttekor.
